Earth Day Story time, craft & snack
On Saturday, April 21 join us for story-time with Chance Lindsley, Newbury Elementary school principal! Write a poem and make a special nature craft creation just in time for Earth Day. Sweet treats provide by Friends of the library. Bring a friend and enjoy the good company. Free for all families.
SPRING OPEN MIC
Saturday, April 28 at 3:30pm
Open to song/poem writers of all ages, and skill levels!
Shake off the winter gray with a bright welcome to spring and everything it brings with the Groton Library celebrating poetry month, library week, and earth day… come and join us for a fun musical, poetic, story type of event.
Hosted by singer/songwriter Chance Lindsley.
…AND if you play any kind of instrument, write songs, write poetry, make up stories worth telling or are part of a band come and jam with us.
Open to song/poem writers of all ages, and skill levels!

Our Egg Coloring, Easter Story & Snack was awesome!
On Monday, March 26 at 4:00pm Friends of the library sponsored an Easter program, the library offered some hard-boiled eggs to be colored and brought home, as well as some cardboard eggs to be added to our Library egg tree! We got lots of kids and got to hang out with these wonderful families. Thank you all for coming!!
Thank you Friends for helping us to continue offering more children’s programs.

Our VALENTINE’S Painting class for Kids was very successful!
On Monday February 12th @ 4:00pm, we offered a free painting class for kids. Our library was packed with kids and their parents; we counted 37 kids and 15 adults. It was a wonderful afternoon!
Thank you, Clarissa Elliott Kendall for facilitating this class and Jodi Wohlleb from Rusted Feather Farm for baking the delicious sweet treats.

Immerse yourself in Spanish as if you were in a Spanish speaking country!Join our NEW conversation group to improve your speaking and listening skills in Spanish in a relaxed and natural way. Sundays @ 10:30am
Practitioners of all levels are invited to join sitting meditation. After the meditation the group explores their experience with the facilitator’s guidance. Beginners welcome. Free.
